Getting started is one of the hardest things for us to do. Why?
Because it is much easier to stay stuck where we are.
Change can be overwhelming. It pushes us out of our comfort zone which can be scary at first. Until you realize that being out of your comfort isn’t that bad and you actually might like it!
You need to ask yourself some very serious questions:
Will I continue to do what I’ve always done and stay stuck or do I want to take my life back and be able to do the things I want to do?
Do I want to be able to live my life again without fear of people staring at me? Without fear of being able to fit in a booth or a chair?
Do I want to have the energy to be able to travel and visit loved ones and not be held back by my health?
Do I want to continue taking pills to medicate myself (which may not be enough to fix my problem for the rest of my life) when nutrition and exercise could fix these problems?
Do I want to continue to hold myself by continuing to gain weight, continuing to feel miserable, continuing to beat myself up, continuing to not live my life?
NO?! I didn’t think so!!! Let’s get you to where you want to be! Living the healthy and happy life you always dreamed of!
Once you have a reason to start — once you KNOW that you cannot continue living your life the way you have been, you are ready to start.
How do I start?
By making small gradual changes! Commit to 1-3 attainable, measurable, and specific goals such as drink half my body weight in ounces of water daily, take a multivitamin daily, eat out x times a week/month, etc. Put all of your effort into committing to these goals.
After committing to these goals for a few weeks, they become healthy habits. Healthy habits make up a healthy lifestyle. Keep creating healthy habits and you won’t believe where you will be in a few months!
To lose the weight and keep it off, you must create a healthy lifestyle that works for you! Diets and deprivation do not work. There are NO quick fixes.
A healthy lifestyle is something that you will commit to for the rest of your life! It is a permanent and sustainable way of living in a healthy way.
